What repairs do you offer?
We offer a wide range of first-gen iPad Mini repairs. The most common is Apple iPad Mini 1st generation screen replacement and we do a lot of iPad Mini first-generation battery replacements too.
While some of our other repair services are listed above (e.g. screen glass replacement and digitizer repair, Lightning/charging port repair and water damage), we can’t list every possibility. So if the repair you need isn’t there, please feel free to contact us and we’ll get back to you.
Why are two types of screen repair offered?
The iPad Mini has the front glass (with touch/digitizer on it) separate from the LCD. If- as often happens- the front glass is broken, but the LCD itself is still fine, we only need to replace the glass (which is cheaper for you). If the LCD is broken as well, we replace the whole lot.
What’s causing my first-generation iPad Mini to bulge?
The rechargeable Li-Ion battery sometimes swells due to wear and/or damage. This is potentially dangerous (as it can sometimes catch fire or even explode in this state) and can bend and strain the other components too. You should stop using your iPad Mini until the battery is replaced.
Is there a fee for diagnosing my iPad Mini 1?
For a quick discussion over the phone, or over the counter in the shop, no. We only charge if it needs booking in for further investigation. The £CALL fee- which covers our time- is already included in the repair cost if you go ahead with that.
