FAQ for iPhone 11 Repairs
How do the “Basic” and “Premium” screen repairs differ?
The “Premium” screen is significantly better and retains quality comparable to the one your iPhone 11 first came with.
The “Basic” screen is a usable, off-the-shelf third-party repair screen.
To keep costs down, most other repair centres only use low-to-middling quality replacement screens made by third party companies. Our “Basic” repair option is comparable to some of the better examples of this. (We offer it mainly to remain competitive with them for price-sensitive customers).
However, the “Premium” screen is significantly better and retains quality comparable to the one your iPhone 11 first came with. The brightness, colour rendition and numerous other aspects are significantly better. It also retains the True Tone facility which you don’t get with most replacement screens.
While the “Basic” screen is a little cheaper, most of our customers are more than happy to pay a little extra for the Premium display once they understand the difference.
What’s the problem with a swollen phone?
A swollen phone indicates a damaged and swollen battery. This can be dangerous as they can catch fire or even explode in this state. (The swelling can also crush and damage the rest of the phone inside).
You should stop using a swollen phone immediately and store it in a safe place until you’re able to have the battery replaced.
Is there a fee for diagnosing or examining problems?
If there is, we’ll let you know beforehand! We don’t normally charge just for a quick look over the counter. This only applies if we need to book it in and spend time on it. (Even if that’s the case, the £CALL charge only applies if it’s not repairable or you decide not to have it fixed. Otherwise, it’s already included in the repair price!)
What do I do if my phone got wet?
Turn off your iPhone 11 and stop using it until it’s been looked at. Bring it to us ASAP, as corrosion caused by residue and solvents in the liquid can continue to damage your phone even if it’s okay just now.
(And please don’t dry it out in rice since that leaves behind the damaging residue and can even speed up the process!)
