Apple iPad Mini 2 Repair FAQ
Why are there two types of Apple iPad Mini second-gen screen repair?
The front glass (including digitizer/touch) isn’t bonded to the LCD on this model. So, if- as often happens- the front glass is broken, but the LCD is intact, we don’t need to replace both, and the repair is a little cheaper. If the LCD is broken as well, we replace the whole lot.
What’s causing my iPad Mini 2 to bulge?
Your iPad Mini 2’s battery is suffering from damage or wear and has swollen up like a pillow. It can be dangerous in this state (potentially catching fire or even exploding) and put pressure on the rest of the device. You should have the battery replaced as soon as possible.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
If you phone, or bring your iPad Mini 2 in for a quick inspection, no. We’ll only charge if it needs booked in and further time spent investigating the problem. (And do remember that this is already included in the repair price if you go ahead with it.)
