Is the 2018 11″ iPad Pro the "first generation" or "third generation" version..?!
Annoyingly, both– the naming is confusingly inconsistent. The iPad Pro line originally came out in 2015, and the line-up was refreshed in 2017 ("second generation") and again in 2018 ("third generation"). The 2018 11" iPad Pro was part of that "third generation", but since it was the first with an 11"-sized screen, some (including Apple) refer to it as the "iPad Pro 11" (first generation)".
Of course, this then leads to confusion with the 2021 iPad Pro 11" which is either the third or fifth generation for the same reason.
Annoying, but not really worth worrying about so long as you know whether it’s the 2018 or 2021 version of the iPad Pro 11" you own. Or ask us if you’re not sure!

What’s the fee for having my iPad Pro looked at?
There’s no charge for a regular check-over of your iPad Pro over the counter when you bring it in (ditto a discussion over the phone). If we need to book it in and spend time investigating further, a £CALL charge covers our time, but if you go ahead with the repair, that’s already included in the price!
