This model of Apple iPad is known by various names, official or otherwise, including Apple iPad (3rd generation) (iPad 3rd gen or iPad Third Generation), Apple iPad 3, Apple iPad 2012 and the New iPad. The model number (“A” number) is either A1403, A1416 or A1430 depending upon the variant.
This was the last iPad model to feature the old 30-pin Apple Dock connector.

What’s the difference with the two types of screen repair?
With the iPad 3, the front glass (including digitizer/touch) isn’t bonded to the LCD display itself. That means if only the front glass is broken, we don’t need to replace the entire thing and the repair is correspondingly cheaper.
Why is my iPad 3 bulging?
The battery is swollen due to damage and/or wear. It can be dangerous when it’s like this, and the swelling may damage the rest of your iPad. You should get the battery replaced immediately.
Does you charge for diagnostics?
There’s no charge unless we need to book it in for an in-depth diagnosis. Even then, the £CALL fee is already part of the repair price if you go ahead.
