This page is for the 11″ version of the 2021 fifth-generation Apple iPad Pro (2021), also sometimes referred to as the Apple iPad Pro, 11-inch (3rd generation). (Generation naming can be quite inconsistent among iPads for reasons we won’t bore you with…!) It’s also commonly referred to as the M1 iPad 11-inch. Other names include Apple iPad Pro 5, Apple iPad Pro 5 11-inch and Apple iPad Pro 2021 11-inch.
If you’re not sure, you can check for the model code (“A” number) which will be one of A2377 (iPad Pro Wi-Fi only), A2459 (iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular), A2301 (iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular with mmWave) and A2460 (iPad Pro Wi-Fi + Cellular for China mainland). Or if unsure, ask our helpful staff!

FAQ for 2021 Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (5th generation) Repairs
Is the 2021 11″ iPad Pro the "third generation" or "fifth generation" (and does it matter)?
It’s just a naming inconsistency. The iPad Pro line in general launched in 2015, its "second" generation was in 2017, the third in 2018, the fourth in 2020 and current 11″ model came out in 2021 as part of the "fifth generation". However, it’s only the third iPad Pro with an 11″ screen, hence "third generation".
And no, it doesn’t matter that much…!

Why are there two screen repair types?
The first is for when only the front glass (which also contains the digitizer/touch layer) is broken and needs replaced. The other covers cases where the LCD itself is broken and we replace the whole lot.
Why is my iPad Pro 5 11" bulging?
The battery is swollen due to wear or damage. This can be dangerous (i.e. fire or explosion hazard), so you should stop using it and have the battery replaced immediately.
Is there a diagnostics fee?
We don’t charge if (e.g.) you simply phone up to discuss your repair or bring it in and we have a look at it on the counter. Charges only apply if it needs booked in for furhter investigation. And in that case, the £CALL charge is already included in the price of the repair anyway if you go ahead with that.
