Most shops don’t have replacement iPhone 14 Plus screens yet. What’s your availability?
As of Autumn 2022, the iPhone 14 Plus is still quite new, and replacement screens aren’t easy to get hold of yet. However, rest assured that if anyone can source them we’re the ones who can do so! Our industry connections go further than most other stores.
As with any new iPhone, chances are that availability will improve significantly over the next several months with cheap LED-based "copy" screens becoming available.
So, should I get a cheaper "copy" fitted when they come out?
It’s likely that unofficial (third-party) "copy" screens will become available sooner rather than later. However, although these are cheaper, they also used the older LED based technology and are of poorer quality. The mismatch in spec between a phone designed for OLED and an LED screen can also cause problems.
Many other stores will only use these cheap LED screens to keep their prices down (and make them look more attractive to the unwary) so we’d expect the availability of iPhone 14 Plus repairs to improve once they’re available. But we definitely wouldn’t recommend them over an OLED just to save a few pounds.
