Apple iPhone 8 Repairs
Thank you for visiting Gadget Hero, a local business for all your Apple iPhone 8 needs.
Unlike its siblings, the iPhone 8 features an LCD-based (rather than OLED) display. While this makes replacing a broken screen more affordable, beware- even LCD screens can vary significantly in terms of quality and some of the lower-quality unofficial third-party copy replacement screens can let your phone down. We offer our users a better-quality alternative for their screen repairs; scroll down for more details or see our iPhone 8 repair FAQ.
In addition to screens, our technicians are able to carry out many other repairs including battery replacement, glass back replacement, water damage and other liquid damage, charging port repair, audio issues and more. Scroll down for more details!

FAQ for Gadget Hero Apple iPhone 8 Repair Services
What’s the difference between “Basic” and “Premium” screen repairs?
Both use LCDs, but the “Premium” one is of visibly higher quality, comparable to the original that came with your iPhone 8.
The “Basic” screen provides a usable quality display and is offered mainly for price-sensitive customers and to compete with other shops, most of whom only use cheaper displays to keep the cost down.
Most people are happy to pay a little extra for the “Premium” version when they see the difference in quality, but you have the choice regardless.
Do you charge for consultation and diagnostics?
You’re welcome to come in and discuss your phone’s problems over the counter. We normally only charge a diagnostics fee if we need to book it in and spend time investigating the problem. That’s something we’d make clear in advance, and if you go ahead with the repair, it’s included in the cost anyway!
My iPhone 8 got wet- what do I do?
Stop using your iPhone and don’t attempt to dry it out. (This does nothing to remove the residue that causes ongoing corrosion and can actually speed up the damage). Bring it to us as quickly as possible- the sooner we get it, the greater the chance of success.
