iPhone X Repairs
Thank you for visting Gadget Hero- your one-stop shop for all your iPhone X repair needs.
The iPhone X was the first iPhone with an OLED-based display. This gives great image quality. Unfortunately, many repair shops fit poorer-quality LCD screens as replacements to keep the cost down. We’re different– we also offer the choice of a “Premium” OLED replacement screen with factory-level quality, fully-fitted for just £CALL. (See our FAQ for full details).
If you scroll down further to see a selection of our repairs for your iPhone X, you’ll notice we also offer replacement batteries (including fitting), plus glass back or housing replacement, Lightning/charging port repair, liquid damage… and a whole lot more.
Battery Replacement
Since the iPhone X was discontinued in 2018, the original battery in most will have worn out and need replacing to maintain optimum performance.
We offer replacement iPhone X batteries including fitting at a great price.
- Restores as-new battery performance

FAQ for Our Apple iPhone X Repair Service
Are your “Premium” screen replacements really worth the extra compared to the “Basic” version?
We think so! The Premium screen uses the same OLED technology as the original and has the same high quality image. It doesn’t suffer from the poorer brightness, contrast, colour rendition and resolution many cheap LCDs have.
We offer “Basic” screens for customers looking for the cheapest option and to compete with others who use cheap LCDs to advertise a lower price. But honestly, for a little extra, the Premium OLED screen is a massively better-looking screen, and the one we’d go for ourselves!
Why is my iPhone X bulging or swollen?
The reason for that is that the battery inside is damaged and swollen. That’s bad news as it means it’s in a dangerous state that can catch fire. (The swelling can also bend and crush other components inside your phone).
If your phone is swollen, stop using it and keep it safe until you’re able to have the battery replaced.
Do you charge for diagnostics?
We don’t charge for a quick discussion and over-the-counter look at your phone. We only do so if we need to actually book your iPhone X in and spend time diagnosing the problem. (We’d let you know that in advance, and the £CALL is already included in the repair price with no extra charge if you go ahead.)
Wet phone… what should I do?!
If you have reason to believe the water actually got inside the phone (i.e. got past the waterproofing), switch off your iPhone X and stop using it until it’s been looked at by us. The quicker the better, as internal corrosion can be ongoing.
(Don’t stick it in rice to dry it out either; this doesn’t remove the residue that actually causes the corrosion and can actually speed it up).
