Apple iPhone 14 Repair Services FAQ
What’s the availability of replacement Apple iPhone 14 screens?
At the time of writing (Autumn 2022), the iPhone 14 is relatively new; replacement screens are still relatively rare and hard to get hold of. However, we’re the ones most likely to be able to source a replacement, as we have industry connections that go beyond those of most other phone repair stores.
As with all iPhone models, we expect availability to improve as time goes on and it’s likely that cheap LED-based "copy" screens will become available. (See below).
Should I save money by getting a cheaper LED-based "copy" screen fitted?
We expect unofficial (third-party) "copy" screens to become available for the iPhone 14 as time goes on. These save money, but they generally use the older and cheaper LED technology rather than OLED like the original screen. They tend to be of much poorer quality, and using an LED with a phone designed for an OLED can cause various problems.
Many- if not most- other stores only use these cheaper LED-based "copies", so we expect availability of iPhone 14 screen repairs to spread once these come out. But we certainly wouldn’t recommend them in preference to an OLED!
Chances are you paid good money for your iPhone 14’s high-quality OLED display, so it probably doesn’t make sense to squander that for the sake of saving a few pounds!
