Apple iPhone XS Max Repairs
Thank you for visiting Gadget Hero’s page for Apple iPhone XS Max repair services.
When it first came out, the iPhone XS Max was- along with its smaller sibling, the XS- Apple’s flagship model. As such, it could be expensive to repair, especially the OLED screen!
This is no longer the case, and you can have your XS Max repaired at a very affordable price. In particular, we’re able to offer a comparable-to-original-quality OLED replacement screen for just £CALL, so there’s no need to settle for an inferior LCD-based one.
We’re not just about screens- we can replace batteries, faulty charging ports and more. Scroll down to view the complete range of available repairs.
Battery Replacement
As Apple discontinued the iPhone XS Max in 2019, most will now be a few years old. If yours has been used a lot, the battery may be showing signs of wear and need replacing.

Apple iPhone XS Max Repairs FAQ
Why do you offer two types of screen repair?
Most outlets offering iPhone XS Max screen replacements use cheap LCD-based third-party screens rather than ones that use OLED technology (as the original did). They’re noticeably inferior- typically with lower resolution, poorer brightness, contrast, colour, etc.
We’re different- we also offer a “Premium” OLED-based replacement comparable in quality to the original, but at a price that’s still affordable. It even lets you keep True Tone which very few replacement screens do.
We offer the LCD-based “Basic” screen to remain competitive with others whose advertised prices are based on those cheap LCD repairs. But we believe the “Premium” is definitely worth the slightly higher price- for just £CALL all in, you can avoid having to sacrifice the quality of display you paid for when you bought your phone.
The phone case is swollen up. Is that a bad thing?
Unfortunately, yes. This is a sign that the battery inside is itself swollen, and that’s an indicator that it’s damaged and in a dangerous condition (i.e. it can catch fire or even explode).
You should stop using a phone in this condition immediately, until the battery has been replaced. (We have an article on swollen phone batteries elsewhere).
Will you charge me to diagnose or look at my phone?
We wouldn’t do so without warning you of this in advance. If you bring your iPhone XS Max in and we’re able to tell what’s wrong over the counter, you normally won’t be charged for that. If it needs to be booked in (and time spent on it), there’s usually a £CALL charge. However, this is included in the price of the repair if you’re able to go ahead with that.
Aaargh! My iPhone XS Max just got wet- what do I do?
Assuming it’s gone beyond what waterproofing is likely to protect your phone from (i.e. the water or liquid got inside the case), stop using it immediately and turn it off if safe to do so. Bring it for repair ASAP as internal corrosion can continue even if the phone looks okay or you think it’s dried out.
Some people advise drying it out in rice, but we advise against this. This does nothing to clean or remove the residue that can cause corrosion and can even accelerate the process.
