Apple iPhone 17e Repair Services FAQ
Can I trust Gadget Hero Dundee to repair my Apple iPhone 17e?
Gadget Hero Dundee is itself an established business with years of experience and countless iPhone repairs under its belt. However- even better than that!- we’re owned and run by local people who have over twenty-five years of experience in computer and phone repair businesses in the Dundee area. That includes involvement in iPhone repair since the original launched way back in 2007. You can’t get more experienced than that, and we keep up with the latest developments. On top of that, at the time of writing we have a 5.0 review rating on Google.
I’m not entirely sure whether my phone is an iPhone 17e or another model- does this matter?
Can I save money by getting a cheaper LCD-based "copy" screen instead?
Some shops can save money and offer cheaper repairs by using low-end third-party "copy" screens (but usually won’t tell you they’re doing so). A lot of these use LCDs instead of OLEDs like the original iPhone 17e screen. The visual quality is generally lower- often much lower- and because LCDs place demands on the display circuitry it wasn’t designed for, some very poor examples can even damage your iPhone. We recommend discussing these options with ourselves.
