As with all iPhone Pro models from the iPhone 11 Pro onwards, the iPhone 16 Pro was only sold for around a year (September 2024 to September 2025) before it was replaced. However, it proved almost as popular as the cheaper iPhone 16. As a result, we see quite a lot of of them in for repair.

Although your iPhone 16 Pro comes with an impressive 6.3″ Super Retina XDR OLED, don’t assume that a repair/replacement screen will be comparable in quality. Most outlets won’t explain this- because they don’t offer a choice anyway- and many fit the cheapest unofficial third-party screen possible. (That might even be be an old-school LCD rather than an OLED).
Gadget Hero Dundee is one of very few local businesses who will explain this and offer you a choice– usually including a refurb OLED with comparable quality to the original, but at a price that’s far more affordable than Apple’s official repairs.

iPhone 16 Battery Replacement

There are three signs of a battery problem:-

  • Charge doesn’t last as long
  • Phone won’t charge at all, or
  • Your phone case starts swelling up

That last one’s caused by a damaged and swollen battery, which can be dangerous and damage the insides of your phone.

We can fix any of those battery problems with your iPhone Pro, and if you’re not sure whether it’s the charging port instead, we’ll diagnose that too!

How do I know that Gadget Hero Dundee is a reliable business?
Gadget Hero Dundee has been established in Broughty Ferry since 2022 and has a high rating from customers on Google. We’re also owned and run by local people with decades of prior experience in running other repair businesses in the Dundee, Angus and North Fife areas.
I can’t remember whether my phone is a 16 Pro or another model, can you help?
Check "Settings > General > About" or the model number (the iPhone 16 Pro includes models A3083, A3292, A3293 and A3294). But it’s not that big a deal since Gadget Hero Dundee offers repairs for all iPhone models regardless, so contact our helpful staff who’ll give you the repair needed.
Do I have to book in my repair and what are the arrangements?
Book-ins appointments are available but not required. If you’re within visiting distance (e.g. living in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Monifieth, Carnoustie, Arbroath, Angus and North Fife) you can simply pop-in to our shop at 106 Gray Street during opening hours and drop it off.
I don’t live close enough to visit your shop. Can you carry out a repair via mail or courier?
